Pittsburgh Post-Gazette runs article on "ER" campaign alongside excerpts from Center's film and TV reviews

November 25, 2003 -- Today the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette ran an abridged version of Sandra Boodman's November 18 Washington Post article about the Center's "ER" campaign and a huge sidebar with excerpts from some of the Center's movie and television reviews.

The sidebar, "Rating the fictional nurses," notes that the Center recognizes "the power of the media in how nurses are portrayed to the public," and explains how the Center evaluates media products that depict nursing. Then it provides the Center's nursing ratings and brief excerpts from its reviews of the movies "Wit," "Meet the Parents," "Rear Window," "John Q" and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," and the television shows "ER," "Scrubs," "Presidio Med," and "M*A*S*H."

The media review excerpts were also picked up by the Scripps Howard news service and printed in the Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee) on Dec. 3 and the Corpus Christi Caller Times (Texas) on Dec. 8.
